Is there a custom ball bearing available somewhere that has two screws opposite each other on the outer portion of the bearing that would allow for attaching a yoke-type connector that would allow for hinged movement of the connector? See example in the attached photo.

    Your picture did not attach.

If you only need a total angle of 40 degrees or less you may want to consider a swivel bearing. If you need more than that you should be able to design a frame for your bearing.

What are you trying to do?

    Niel,

Thanks for your reply. The bearing type (with an attached handle) that I am looking for can be viewed at the url below (cut and paste). The first two photos have a good view of the bearing. This is the only site that I have found that had a picture of what I'm looking for.

Are you talking about the central bearing [http://skylerminicam.com/index.html] that attaches the handle to the vertical shaft of the Skyler Minicam stabilization device?

There are a number of ways to make such a device, but as you noted it would most likely be a custom device for your specific application.

Yes it is the central bearing on the stabilizer that I am looking for. I was hoping not to have to have the bearing custom made. Thought there might be pre-constructed bearings like this one that have the threaded attachment holes already tapped.

The bearings themselves could be off-the-shelf. The custom part would be the mounting collar. I could be readily made out of aluminum. The central bearing could be pressed in. That collar would also have flats on the sides where threaded holes would incorporated.

Doing the detailed design is straight forward enough, but beyond the scope this forum.
