I'm not sure if this is the place for my question, but I Googled "ask a structural engineer", and this is the site I got. Hopefully I'm in the right location.

My question is--would a 4 inch concrete slab in my basement be able to hold a 2100 pound set of weights on a bench approx 93 inches in length by 30 inches wide?

The slab was built in 1985, non-reinforced, and contains 6 inches of stone beneath the concrete. The soil is "virgin soil" and was not compacted in any particular way.

    Thanks a ton.
