Why still drink plastic bottles (slice, maza) are dome shaped and thick?

    After a study I have found almost all the plastic bottles used for still drink e. slice and maze are thick and dome shaped at the top? also it has window structure at the periphery, would love to know the reason behind? I know that it is hot filled at high temperature....
