I throw a penny six times into the air.
The penny falls six times on "heads".

I bet a hundred to one that if I throw the penny into the air for a seventh time, it will fall on "heads".

Question: What is the probability that the penny will fall on heads for a seventh time?

    1/2.
It's always 1/2 no matter what the history.

The probability of getting heads on the next 7 throws starting from scratch is (1/2)^7
