    Hoping that someone can help me.
    I am doing a sand filtration project. I have a 2m high, 65cm diameter column. On bottom - sand is filled to about 0.8m with the anthracite layer of 0.6m high. the flow through column should be 10L/hr
    When i pump the water thru the column, it builds up the head way too fast. This should not happen so soon as the head should develop gradually over a 24hrs period indicating that the filter is getting clogged with particles. It seems that there is pressure built in the column that is blocking the flow or maybe there is something else. I am not sure.
