    Hi people

Does anyone know what is meant by this NVQ CAD question.

What are the basic principles of engineering manufacturing operations, assembly and installation methods used?

I think this is meant generally

Something is wrong with the question as presented, it do does not make grammatical sense.

If you modify the sentence to read

What are the basic principles of engineering used in manufacturing operations, assembly and installation methods?

This question can be answered. The answer to the question is very open ended. Here is a starting list -

    1. Thermodynamics
    2. Heat transfer
    3. Just about all of Newton's Laws starting with f=ma.
    4. Ohm's laws
    5. Kirchhoff's laws
    6. Quing theory
    7. etc.

I am confident that you will need to explain the specifics of each engineering principle, theory or law mentioned.

That's pretty open-ended, bagel. In addition to Neil's list, it can include Health and Safety, Quality Control, Documentation Standards.... If you're writing about this, pick one, and elaborate.
