Hi, I'm working on a 4th year design project at Western University and I've been stuck on this for a while. I am designing an "A" shaped tower for a pedestrian bridge and treating the legs of the "A" as columns. They are 2 meters by 2 meters ( very large as the bridge is very large). I am finding it difficult to design columns of such magnitude as the dimension is too large for certain variables to be used. Am I missing something?/ how can I design this tower with such dimensions?. Any help is greatly appreciated.
