The case is:

There's a Main distribution board (MDB) in an 11/0.4kV substation supporting entirely Motors and pumps for Potable water and sewerage pumping and we need to provide proper Interfacing for BMS to control and monitor energy consumption.

Does it require an MDB with special signal ports to connect BMS system with MDB or no special interfaces are required.

all in all how BMS system will operate and what additional equipment may be required to integrate BMS system with an MDB.
