    Hello,

I am finding myself stumped by a very basic problem which is quite embarrassing. I have analysed the frame several different ways and frankly have just made myself more confused. The diagram below shows a frame that pivots around points A and B with member (1) being rigid and member (2) representing an 8KN expanding actuator. Basically I would like to know the logic of calculating the moment delivered at point C given that D is rigid and as a result does not represent a parallelogram. Sounds simple, but I have completely confused myself! I trust you will help me resolve my confusion.

    Regards,
