Specific Heat is of substances is best determined from tables on the subject for the specific material involved be it a hydrocarbon or simple water. Many materials do have equations which can be use but they can result in errors for the exact value.

What are you trying to do?

Alternately you can use a device call a calorimeter to measure it.
