Try not to think of Aerospace as "space." There are tons of aviation related jobs. anything from working for plan manufacturers, airlines, airports, etc., as well as the aforementioned space industry. You can also branch out a bit into other things. A friend of mine works for an intellectual property attorney who has an aerospace engineering degree. Go figure!

Basically most Aerospace Engineers want to design airplanes, spacecrafts, but you can also work as a Mechanical Engineer, because its not exactly similar but it deals with a lot of mechanics.
