Nemo:

With knowing the exact components that each control panel contains it is difficult to determine what maintenance procedures would be necessary.

Here are some questions to ask when determine what maintenance and test procedures should be performed and how often:

1. What specific components are in each control panel?

2. What failure modes exist within the control panel?

3. What alarms exist?

4. What failures do the alarms respond to?

5. Can those failure modes be simulated?

6. What sensors are providing information to the control panels?

7. How do you know the information you are receiving from the sensors is correct.

This should be a start. In reality most control panels require very little maintenance, but the devices they control do.
