A DTS-I engine has two spark plugs placed as a distance from one another in the cylinder head [1], [2] in the belief that this will achieve better combustion.

Although Bajaj Pulsar has a patent in India [1] the concept of dual spark plug technologies has been around for a long time where it is important to ensure that the fuel in the cylinder is properly and efficiently ignited. Two particular applications come to mind - Airplanes and automotive racing engines particularly dragsters.
