Booth marketing is tough. So many marketers we know spend endless hours criss-crossing the country to pitch their solutions.
Think of all the ways you've tried to bring people into your booths, from giveaways to broadcast demos, to celebrity appearances.
I saw a clever approach at the Planet PTC event this week. Bettina Giemsa's idea was to connect the training programs the company sells to the training outcome - an "engineering super hero". In return for having your picture taken in the booth, each person got an embarrassing picture and a cool t-shirt.
This idea leveraged the social impact of sharing a photo with the geek factor of a fun device (in this case the jet-pack) and a cool prize in the t-shirt. This beats frisbees, stress balls and pens hands down.
